Sea Salt plantain chips have been a popular tropical treat ever since it was first discovered that the earth is round. As plantain chip experts who crave perfect flavor, we just had to make a version of this long-time favorite. Starting with plantains from the Colombian coffee region (considered to be the world's very finest), we swirled in just the right amount of the purest, unadulterated salt, harvested from the sea. The result: a timeless favorite that stands out not just because of its delicious taste, but also because it is made with the highest quality and non-GMO ingredients that are free of toxic persistent pesticides, artificial flavors, colors and preservatives.

Meet one of our plantain farmers
Gerardo Franco is the manager of a small plantain farm in Anserma, in the Central Andes of Colombia. He is a family oriented, dedicated man who has been in the plantain business since he was only 15 years old. He believes in openness, in the capacity to overcome obstacles, and in the ability of his plantains to bring people together and celebrate a versatile fruit that in Colombian food appears in almost everything from appetizers to desserts.
